The snack bar will be open at the turn, but there is not a beverage cart on the course. The driving range will be open with practice balls included. After golf, the bar will be open with pizza provided with your entry fee.
LACFGA played the S.H.I.T.S. tournament April 11th and 12th at Sycuan Resort. Oak Glen was open after its remodel. Great weather, great golf with great people. Put it on your list for next year, the first or second week of April.
There are still spots available for the INFERNO GOLF TOURNAMENT, June 19th-21st, but it is filling up fast so please don't wait!
The first 124 golfers are in.

TOURNAMENT TIE BREAKERS
Last week I was asked, “How do you break ties for ___?”
Great Question, let me see if I can explain how ties are broken for the different Tournaments / Games we play at our events.
Flight Winners & Partners Best Ball
USGA & Then Last To First:
- If the tying players have the same score for the last nine, determine the winner on the basis of the last six holes, last three holes, and finally, the 18th hole. If this method is used in a competition with a multiple tee start, the "last nine holes, last six holes, etc." is considered to be holes 10-18, 13-18, etc.
- Ties will be broken by going from the last hole all the way to the first hole until there is a winner. For instance, if Kathy and Ellen both scored an 81, they will have to break their tie. On hole 18, they both scored 4s. Now, we move to hole 17. Ellen scores a 2 while Kathy scores a 3. Ellen wins the tie-breaker.
Par3 Gross & Net
Most To Least Difficult Hole:
- This is another hole-by-hole tie-breaker. Ties will be broken, relative to par, by first going to the #1 Handicap hole, then the #2 Handicap Hole and so on.
Multi-Round Events
Modified USGA
- This method uses the last 18-hole round as the first tie-breaker. If the tie remains, then use the last 9, 6, 3, and 1 hole(s) of the last 18-hole round.
I will be adding this information to the website for future reference.
See Y'all on the course,
TOB Out!
