FELLOW GOLFERS, 

I’VE HEARD THAT SOME OF YOU HAVE BEEN ASKING MIKE AND WARD WHAT I DO FOR THIS ORGANIZATION, SO I SAT DOWN, WITH A LEGAL NOTE PAD, TO JOT DOWN ALL MY DUTIES AS YOUR PRESIDENT.  WELL, COME TO FIND OUT I DIDN’T NEED THAT LEGAL PAD SO I JUST REACHED FOR A POST-IT.  COME TO FIND OUT I DIDN’T NEED THAT POST-IT SO I JUST REACHED FOR MY GUN (STARTING TO GET DEPRESSED).  I PUT THE GUN AWAY AND CAME TO THE CONCLUSION I DON’T DO ANYTHING.  MIKE WON’T LET ME TOUCH THE COMPUTER PROGRAM IN FEAR I MIGHT INSERT A VIRUS OR SOMETHING AND WARD WON’T LET ME DEAL WITH THE GOLF COURSE PERSONNEL IN FEAR I WOULD BE A LITTLE HARSH WITH THEM AND RUIN HIS RELATIONSHIPS.  SO NOW YOU KNOW, JOHN DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING FOR THIS ORGANIZATION BUT DONATE TO THE SKINS POT EACH MONTH.

“APRIL FOOLS”, THOSE TWO COULD NOT GET THROUGH A DAY WITHOUT CALLING ME AND ASKING FOR MY EXPERT ADVISE ON A COUNTLESS NUMBER OF COMPLEX SITUATIONS.  THEY JUST WON’T ADMIT IT.

Last month we had a good turnout for our March Monthly at California C.C.  For the first time, all players paid their tournament fees by the payment deadline and no players were dropped from the event for non-payment.  Also, 24 of the 27 groups used the Golf Genius scoring.  To both of these I say, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

When it comes to payments there are a couple of items that still need to be tightened up and then I will not have to bother El Presidenté daily.

Please, Please, Please, when submitting your payments, include the Event # on your payment, example: Doe, J. – 2304.  The event number on your payment helps me when I am tracking payments.  FYI – Currently I have 4 open tournaments that I am tracking payments.

For those of you that pay your fees via an F&A transfer remember to include, with your last name, your first name or initial on your transfer notation.  This helps determine which player paid when it comes to common surnames and relatives.  Speaking of F&A, hopefully y’all have adjusted to the new system.  Our name in the F&A system is now “LACO” for transfers.  Also, when a member calls F&A to initiate a transfer, the information that you ask them to include in the notation does not come across.  So, if you call F&A for your transfers, email or text me the date & the amount of your transfer.

As a reminder, the registration for the May Monthly at Victoria Club opens April 1^st at 8:00 am. (No Joke)
