I’VE HAD BOTH OF MY FRIENDS ASK ABOUT THE PICTURE THAT WAS IN LAST MONTH'S NL WITH THE BOARD MEMBERS ATTENDING MIKES AWARD PRESENTATION.  THEY ASKED IF THAT WAS JABBA THE HUTT OR ME IN MY

HALLOWEEN COSTUME STANDING NEXT TO MIKE, WELL, FYI, IF MICK JAGGER TOOK A DOUBLE DOSE OF PREDNISONE FOR A MONTH, HE WOULD LOOK LIKE

THAT TOO.  SO CUT ME SOME SLACK.

 

WELL, THE PRESIDENT’S CHRISTMAS DINNER AT ALTA VISTA CC IS FULL.  THAT MEANS SOME OF YOU DAWDLERS ARE GOING TO MISS OUT ON SOME OF THE FINEST RUBBER CHICKEN EVER SERVED.  I HAD SOME ENTERTAINMENT SCHEDULED, BUT THEY CANCELED WHEN THEY FOUND OUT JABBA WAS GOING TO BE THE MC.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to my fellow golfers,

 

Hope your golf year was a good one.  The 2026 LACFGA schedule has been posted on our website.  Mark your calendars and plan ahead for another great year of golf.  2026 takes us to 7 private and 5 public courses.  The 2026 golf season and this December have three10:00 tee times to take note of, Huntington Club, Alta Vista C.C. and Western Hills

On  December 8th, with a 10:00 shotgun, LACFGA will be back at Alta Vista Country Club for our Monthly Play and Christmas Banquet.  The Open players will be playing the White tees at 5999 yards 69.0/124 slope and the Senior players will be playing the Red tees at 5523 yards 66.9/118 slope.  The snack shop will be open for breakfast and during the round.  There will be a beverage cart on the course.  The driving range and practice green will be open, range balls ARE included with your entry fee.  Also included with your entry fee is the Christmas Banquet, Alta Vista C.C. puts on a great spread for us so plan on hanging out with your golf buddies and breaking bread with them.
