From the President
by John Laur

WELL, NOT A GOOD MONTH FOR OUR CLUB EVENT BUT

SOME GOOD HAS COME FROM IT, YOUR ENVELOPES ARE

IN GOOD HANDS AND EARNING SOME GREAT INTEREST.

SPEAKING OF INTEREST, I’M QUICKLY LOOSING IT WHEN

IT COMES TO MY JOB AS PRESIDENT, I, LIKE A GOOD CARD

FILE CAPTAIN, SHOULD BE OUT THERE KICKING SOME BUTT

AND TAKING SOME NAMES, HOWEVER, ALL OF OUR CLUB

MEMBERS ARE DOING THEIR DUTIES CORRECTLY AND IN A

TIMELY MANNER, MAKING IT SOMEWHAT EMBARRASSING

TAKING MY MONTHLY SALARY. SO UNTIL YOU FOLKS START

ACTING UP I WILL BE FORGOING MY MONTHLY STIPEND AND

ROLL IT OVER INTO OUR INTEREST FUND.

SMOK’EM IF YOU GOT’EM ,

JOHN

Wednesday September 6th we will be playing El Dorado Park golf course in Long Beach.  The Open players will be playing the Blue Tees at 6461 yards with a slope of 71.0/127 and the Senior players will be playing the Silver/Gold Tees at 5625 yards with a slope of 72.7/129.

The restaurant opens at 6:00 am given a 5 star rating by Gene and Kathy Eaton.  There will be a beverage cart on the golf course.  The driving range will be open where you can purchase practice balls.

For any of you wondering why we play so early in the month of September, it's so the board can focus on the upcoming Singing Hills Invitational, S.H.I., Tournament.

Speaking of which, there is still time to sign up for S.H.I.
